Car update: Well guess what the garage still have the car, still cant get emission level sorted after changing a gasket that they said was the problem, and charging extra again. So they have had the car now since last thurs day.Its an old Renault 5 a basic model there aint that much to go wrong compared to most moden cars, can it really be that hard? This is getting a joke now over £500 from an estimated £300 ish a week rather than 1 or 2 days, been told every day since then it will be ready , then only to be told later it will not be ready after all (lmao he told me it was a fiddly job, most car work is bloody fiddly!). If they put one more penny on the cost I,m gonna explode. I hope trading standards say I have a valid case for complaint cos this is just not on.

Sat here waiting for that dam garage to phone. I NEED TO STAY CALM! loads still to get done, moving saturday and need more boxes and a few other bits. Yesterday was wasted with no transport.

I hate this garage and will never use them again. Not at all happy "uplands garage the grove Swansea sa2 0qr". Put car in for MOT pre-check, got a quote and agreed for work to be done they ring and say they have found more work needing doing while sorting other repairs, agree again to extra work and cost (bit miffed they didn't notice before). They then put car in for mot and it fails on tick over speed LOL (a basic thing) and then say they were worried about it not passing due to windscreen, but had not mentioned this before ffs! . Now waiting for them to ring back to say its passed. Not much of a pre-mot test if it bloody failed! My advise find another garage.
