Been a while

Been a fair time since I last sat to write in here. For the last few months we have been living in a caravan, it's been an experience if nothing else. Makes me think a bit about how others live, even this is better living than so many, too many in the world. To wake up on a cold morning with the whole van so cold. The weather is improving so it is not so cold first thing now.
I have been designing jewelery for Moon the past few weeks building up a reasonable stock. A few items have sold already and everyone so far is impressed with what we have made so far. You can see them on www.moonworld.co.uk look for Holisticmoon designs.
We have also decided on another move come June/July time, probably some where close to Moons brother. He lives in a nice area, and it would be closer to Ryan so Moon would not have to drive so far to see him.

My Mum passed away a just before we moved down to Southampton, I miss her. I wonder what Mum's energy has become now Her mortal body has given it up. Stephen my younger brother caused loads of problems after her death, why I do not really understand, and seeing as he no longer speaks to me I may never find out to understand. Ian(My older brother) and myself have gotten on better thou. He has not changed in his ways much, well maybe a little.

Almost 9:30 and everyone is still in bed, I got woken by the cat at 7am to feed it. She the cat that is, has taken to prodding my face with her paw to wake me when she feels it is time for food. Cosmic the chipmunk is doing well, he is looking so much better after a few months of us looking after him. I hope when we move that we can take him with us, I would be sad to to leave him here.

Think I have rattled on enough for now, who knows may be back a bit sooner next time.

Still not working but really need to get my finger out, and find a job.
Almost Xmas again no big deal, another chance to waste loads of money for nothing.
Caravan is doing ok, got the fire working now and its sooo warm now. Gets a bit noisy with the rain and wind but I suppose we will get used to that. Moon has started to sell things on eBay which is cool. Will write more later as its still a tad chilly in the office here, need to go warm up in the van for a bit.
I miss having my PC opposite Moon's, she seems so far away in the van.

I am now back in my home town of Southampton once again. Been busy at my brothers house helping tidy things up. Not used to all this physical activity, but it does feel good to be more active.

Looking at getting married next year, did not expect to be saying that, but very happy about it very happy indeed :)

Still not got my PC setup, missing my online racin a bit. Ordered the new GTR2 which should be here soon, but will my PC be up and running LOL! I'm sure it will.

I'll be glad when things are all sorted here so I can have a rest.

Nature's Beauty

A priest was in charge of the garden within a famous Zen temple. He had been given the job because he loved the flowers, shrubs, and trees. Next to the temple there was another, smaller temple where there lived a very old Zen master. One day, when the priest was expecting some special guests, he took extra care in tending to the garden. He pulled the weeds, trimmed the shrubs, combed the moss, and spent a long time meticulously raking up and carefully arranging all the dry autumn leaves. As he worked, the old master watched him with interest from across the wall that separated the temples.

When he had finished, the priest stood back to admire his work. "Isn't it beautiful," he called out to the old master. "Yes," replied the old man, "but there is something missing. Help me over this wall and I'll put it right for you."

After hesitating, the priest lifted the old fellow over and set him down. Slowly, the master walked to the tree near the center of the garden, grabbed it by the trunk, and shook it. Leaves showered down all over the garden. "There," said the old man, "you can put me back now."

Well a new chapter opens today!
I was going to write down what has happened and vent some of the anger and sadness that is within me. All I will say is that I have been deceived about Love, lied to, for some time; by the person I most loved, and trusted.
Now I have no idea what I will do but it will be positive what ever it is.
I will replace my ill feelings, and over come them. I have been horrible the past few hours, well no more!
I will rise above that level!

Is this bad energy returning to me for some past deed, it could be.
Well tomorrow I start packing, off to Southampton once more, I don't intend to stay too long. I want to do things, I will do things, good things!

I have taken down my website this week, so there may be a few dead picture links within this blog now. Not sure if I will put up another site yet or not.
I have my driving test in a couple of weeks now, I should pass it ok, looking forward to being able to drive around.
The more I look into the way this world is run, the more I want to get away from it all. I have to admit adjusting to a life more simple with out all the modern gadgets and gizmos will take some adjusting too, it will be worth it!
For now I will make the most of my PC, and online racing, it will be gone soon.

Been racing on line in a server called Racin 24/7 on GTL, been good fun. They have a team speak channel too which adds to the fun hearing the other drivers during the race.

I have a new graphics card in my machine, this has doubled the performace. GT Legends runs real nice now!
Had a tooth out, so far so good just mild pain from it.
I passed the first part of my driving test, so now its time to get going on the second part.

MOMO Racing Force Steering Wheel

As I have been racing online more now with the new GTR game I have just ordered a MOMO Racing Force Steering Wheel. I have a very old microsoft wheel that has seen better days, it is part held together by large rubber bands. I hope this new wheel is a lot better, it should be according to some of the reviews I have read; Also Speedy Dennis has convinced me to get one as well as Moon she wants the old wheel. It's going to take a while to get used to force feedback at any rate. Will put more here when it arrives.

Moon and I have booked tickets to see the very first A1 Grand Prix race at Brands Hatch in September. Moon has never been to a race meet before, she is going to love it. I have not been to a race for some years, so I am looking forward to it. Been a hot few days, expecting some heavy rain soon. Another driving lesson tomorrow, they have been going well, and now the insurance is sorted I can drive Moons car a bit too.

Now we in the UK have had a terrorist attack it seems no time is being wasted to ride the wave of fear that has swept over England. One news paper has already done a poll that they say shows over 80% of people they asked wanted the goverment do what ever it needs to stop terrorists. I think the count down is on to the UK's very own patriot act, ID cards too will be pushed forward harder now.
One of the goverments arguments for ID cards is to help prevent terrorist attacks.

Speaking at the weekend, Tony Blair said "all the surveillance in the world" would not stop terrorists determined to attack Britain.

Moon's Mum took us for a meal at a local pub called The watermill today. It looks real nice from the outside, this was the first time going inside. It was not too impressive inside. We moved tables when we noticed lots of flies on one of the windows. We waited over half an hour for the food to turn up. I will not be eating there again, the food did not impress me at all.
Started messing with Flash MX the animation program, bit confusing so far learning where every thing is. Learnt a few basic bits maybe I'll post a little example on here some when soon.
Had my second driving lesson, it went ok.

We, the undersigned, would like to register our utter disgust at the FIA for failing to deal sensibly with the crisis situation that arose during the weekend of the 2005 United States Grand Prix, and in the process ruining the enjoyment for millions of fans the world over. By refusing to accept the suggestions offered by the Michelin teams, as well as Jordan and Minardi, that would have allowed a full, 20 car race to go ahead, and by offering no suggestions of their own that weren't completely impractical and/or unsafe, the FIA left the seven Michelin teams with no choice but to pull out of the Grand Prix in order to avoid putting the lives of drivers and spectators at risk.

Considering that the FIA claims safety is its topmost priority, we, the undersigned, would like to register our absolute disbelief that the FIA would attempt to punish the seven Michelin teams for refusing to race in clearly unsafe circumstances. We would like to register even greater disbelief that the FIA would make the completely ludicrous suggestion that the drivers of the seven Michelin teams slow down around the final corner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We know for a fact that the FIA realises the danger posed to other drivers by a competitor braking on an inappropriate part of the circuit, as demonstrated by the punishment given to Juan Pablo Montoya at this year's Monaco Grand Prix. Encouraging teams to engage in similarly unsafe behaviour, and threatening them with lawsuits for refusing to do so, is the height of hypocrisy.

Seeing that the 2005 United States Grand Prix eventually went ahead with only six cars competing, we can only assume that the FIA does not care in the slightest about the fans of the sport. Considering that the FIA is laying the blame for the fiasco on the teams, who could not possibly have raced under the circumstances, we are forced to conclude that the FIA, under current "leadership," is incapable of taking responsibility for its own actions. The fact that the FIA appears to be far more concerned about pedantically upholding regulations, that it itself has put in place, than fulfilling its obligations to the general public and to the sport's many sponsors demonstrates only that, under its current management, the FIA is unfit to govern Formula One. As a result, we call on you to resign immediately before even more damage is done to a once presigious sport.

They use the idea of marine conservation to attract tourists. They can’t have it both ways – luring tourists with an eco-friendly image while supporting the slaughter of whales. It has been a while since I last put anything in here. Went to Spain a few weeks ago, this was because Moon's Dad passed away. Plans are moving for a move to Spain, so I have now started driving lessons. My first was today, and it seemed to go pretty well, most was just covering the basics, and a little driving. The instructor seems like a nice bloke, he explained things very well, I booked up 3 more lessons.
My PC is still messing about, I am going to have to do a fresh install of windows soon. I hope it is just windows messing up, and not a hardware problem.
In the YRM world I won the GTR team cup this season, my highest points finish to a season yet.

Science museum joins Hollywood for space journey

LONDON (Reuters) - In the more than 25 years since its creation it has spawned best-selling novels, a television series, records, Web sites and hordes of devoted fans.

Its characters have become part of popular culture -- from hapless Englishman Arthur Dent and his best friend Ford Prefect from the planet Betelgeuse, to Marvin the chronically depressed robot and bad-tempered, ugly aliens called Vogons.

A real-life super chess computer has been named Deep Thought in homage to the film's second greatest computer ever built whose answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything is -- 42.

Now with the release of a film, Britain's Science Museum has joined forces with Hollywood to bring "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" to life and a new generation of fans.

"We want visitors to feel like they are stepping into the hitchhiker's world," said James Rudoni, manager of the 900-square metre (9,688 square feet) exhibit that opens on May 28.

The exhibit, one of the largest to be created at the central London tourist attraction, will recreate Arthur Dent's journey through the really big universe in Douglas Adams's classic and explore the facts and fiction of science along the way.

TICKLED PINK

"The links with the Science Museum make this very special," said Robbie Stamp, executive producer of the film and the exhibit and a friend of Adams, who created the hitchhiker's guide in 1978 for a BBC radio series.

"Douglas himself would have been absolutely tickled pink," he added.

Adams died in 2001 aged 49 from a heart attack in California where he was working on a screenplay for the film.

"I think he would have been so pleased that there is another space in which to explore the ideas," said Stamp.

Using props, costumes and creatures from the film, the exhibit, which will run until November before beginning a national and international tour, allows visitors to enter Dent's home which the Vogons demolish along with the Earth to pave the way for an interstellar freeway.

After passing through the picket-fenced house, visitors will bum a lift with Ford Prefect, who is not really an out-of-work actor but an alien doing research for the hitchhiker's guide, aboard the Vogon ship.

"The Vogon world looks stunning. It is very grey, dank and everything is square," said Rudoni, explaining that the exhibit is divided into zones to correspond with themes and action in the film.

A huge rubbery skinned Vogon, over 8 feet (2.4 metres) tall and created by Henson Creature Workshop, will be situated in the centre of the Vogon ship. As visitors pass through they will be able to listen to Vogon poetry, renowned for being the third worst in the universe.

"In this section, we'll be looking at the science and existence of alien life," Rudoni added, emphasising where the science comes in.

From the dreary dark Vogon zone, the next stop is the bright, clear and very clean Heart of Gold Spaceship, powered by the Infinite Improbability Drive, which saves the two galactic hitchhikers after the Vogons throw them into space.

Among the 11 zones in the exhibit one will include the actual Marvin used in the film and delve into the science of artificial intelligence and robots.

Deep Thought, the computer which after 7.5 million years of calculations said 42 was the answer to the meaning of life, will also be prominently displayed.

"In this area visitors will be able to register what they think is the ultimate question and Deep Thought will pick his favourite questions," according to Rudoni.

After passing through the portal of the luxury planet Magrathea, exhibits in the planetary factory and showroom zone will examine the Big Bang and how the planets were formed.

Then it's back to reality.

"I always felt there were two strands that ran through Douglas's own personal philosophy. One was a deeply held wish that humankind ought to have just a little bit more humility about its place as a species in the great scheme of things," he said.

"The other was a genuine reverence for the beauty of what we do have on this particular lump of rock."

I had never heard of Benjamin Zephaniah until a couple of days ago. I had the TV on, I think the station was Sky news(I like to see what main stream media think is news) they had an item called "what would you do if you became prime minister" Benjamin Zephaniah was that days guest. He made some very good comments, so I decided to find out more about him. Below is part of one of his poems and a link to his website.

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy

Just been to see the movie, I really liked it. There were a few bits I felt could have been much better, like Marving voice; it just was not quite right, it just did not sound really depressed. As I first heard it as the original radio show, I guess it was a bit of a shock with all the little America bits that have been added, like Z becoming zee instead of zed. They have done a pretty good job, I would give it eight out of ten. It has already been mention about two more films being made, I hope so. I did like the start of the film with the song "so long and thanks for all the fish" great stuff. Ford and Arthur worked well, Trillian was a bit of a let down, and Zaphod I felt was just rubbish. I,ll go into more detail later, but right now I have a really nice smelling Chinese meal ready to eat.

First day back at work tomorrow, and about time too!
Had a problem with my mobile phone service, won't go into details but I sent a letter to vodaphone canceling my contract. Today they rang up to ask why, then offered me my old monthly charge back for a year, plus a new top of the range Nokia phone free of charge, should get it tomorrow morning.
Been getting problems with the PC, one of my memory cards is now no good so am down to 256meg of ram. Still have another problem but not sure of the cause yet, going to reinstall windows in case it is a software problem, if not it is either my sound card(which is old anyway) or my graphics card(I don't think it is). Going to wait until I can get the new memory first before doing anything, as with out that I cannot do much anyway. Got another new(second hand) book the other day "Order out of chaos" seen it mentioned a few times now so was glad to spot it in a local charity shop. Still reading the "web of life" not got to far into it, very interesting read so far.

Got a taxi into town today, got a hair cut which was long over due. Walked to my fave cafe and had a smoke and a coffee, then went back to the town centre to look in a few charity shops, book hunting. I found two books that took my interest, the first was "Asimov's new guide to science" revised edition(1987)by Isaac Asimov, price new £10. The second was "The web of life"(1996) by Fritjof Capra, price new £18, sounds interesting, hope it is.
£28 pounds worth of books for £3, I love second hand books.
Been a nice sunny day, glad I got out for a while, going to walk all the way to town tomorrow see how I do.

Just been into the back garden to see how the pea plants are doing, a couple have died, one looks a bit droopy and 3 look ok, also there are three new ones just sprouting up. On the other side the lettuce,spring onions,carrots and leeks are all showing now. As long as the cats don't dig any more up should have some nice veg before long.
Moons forum has a few people posting now, some good topics going on in there.

I will do this a little later after a little lay down, funny really this past couple of weeks I have been reading a lot for me. Feeling a lot better now on the whole still some local pain near the scar, but feeling better every day.

A Few Things On My Mind.

What is the most valued thing that once taken can never be replaced, a life.
What is the point of amassing more than you can ever need (like money - Bill Gates would make a good example?)
What is the problem with just having enough for what you need.
Why do we make material goods such an important part of our lives, often putting more value on them than another’s life. I know many things are useful and increase the quality of life, but why should they have more value than another life.
Life should be the most sacred, valued and protected thing, I don’t think any one could argue with this statement.

I really do have a problem with being told I should want more. I have enough, I am happy (by choice), there are things I will change in time, but I don’t actually need or want more.
What is the point in having for example so many clothes; you can only wear one set at a time, yes 2 or 3 sets to always have clean stuff that makes sense. Why have more than enough, also I find it hard to understand people that will just discard a perfectly good garment just because it is out of date, what a waste of both resources and your valued hard earned money.

We have a finite amount of resources on the Earth, should we really be wasting them like this. Everyone likes to talk about rights, more often than not their lack of them, with good reason most of the time. What about the right to have a decent future, the more we waste now the less there will be in the future. Resources are already starting to run out, and yet we live in the most wasteful times ever.

In time I will live a more natural life, I have made a small start by growing vegetables. It means a bit of effort but when I think how much is wasted on packaged products by doing this I am also helping save some waste, imagine how much could be saved if everyone who could, did this, and not just with growing some of your own food. There is a great feeling that goes with creating your own produce no matter what it maybe. There is just so much waste, we live in a world of things designed not to last too long. If things were made to last as long as possible, we could save so much, and have plenty to build with in the future. Due to the capitalist systems we live under the chances of this happening are real poor, I think we all can see why, because profits would be hit.

What a warped world we live in when more importance is put on profit than is put on the long term well being of us all, and the planet we live on. Common sense seems to have been lost somewhere, we are all letting a few people destroy our world, and for what, the love of money. Look at the big companies that take advantage of poor nations then rape their land of its resources, with no thought of damage to the environment.
You don’t need a God to live a decent peaceful life; the choice is yours how you live.

A God, do I need one or even want one. There are so many to choose from, and which one is real, if indeed any are. God is Love, I have seen this so many times along with many other wonderful things God is claimed to be. Yet these Gods seem to do a lot of nasty things to their creations, mass killings being a popular one amongst most Gods. Would a God (who is so understanding, wise, loving, and all the other things good that Gods are) really do something so horrible as to kill multitudes, for any reason.

I don’t think I want a God who could cause so much pain and suffering. It seems a bit like the guy who gets a dog, he in theory becomes the Dogs God (if the dog could understand the concept of a God). A dog will do what a dog does, and has every right to express its self as a dog in any way it feels. It barks a lot, but the guy decides this noise is not what he wants, so he forces the dog not to by training or punishment. Why not just not have a dog. How come these Gods cannot train us to do what they want instead of punishing us? You do not need to punish to teach a lesson, it can be just as well taught using love and understanding.

This strikes me as odd, why would any God not want his creations having knowledge.
God made them, and as God knows all then he must have known before hand what would happen. So why punish Adam and Eve for doing something that he was responsible for them doing in the first place.
Could this knowledge thing be some thing to do with control, after all most know how easy it is to gain and keep control over people with lesser knowledge.

Recovering

Well things are going ok so far after the operation, still some discomfort moving around but better than yesterday. Watch the Grand Prix today yet another good race, and another win for Alonso. Planted some veg in the garden, maybe a little early but should get a few bits up with some luck. Have a few pea plants just about ready to go out next week, if I am up to it.

Hernia Operation

Well today I had my hernia operation, all went well. The hospital staff took really good care of me (Kidderminster Treatment centre) Big thank you to all of them. I feel much better than I expected to which is nice.

If I dont feel much worse in the morning I,ll be a very happy man. Feels odd standing up and bits not popping out. I will try and write more tomorrow, until then good night from me.

Dave Allen was born in July 1936, son of a leading Irish journalist. His career began 19 years later when, for no apparent reason, he decided to become a professional entertainer. Famed for his sit-down comic routines with a whisky in one hand and cigarette in the other, he has just passed away aged 68, may he rest in peace.
This guy was very funny, and always put a smile on my face.

GTR Green Team Racing

Decided today that I am going to redo some of my web site, and remove some of the graphic content to reduce bandwidth use (may also do the same on the GTR site). The GTR YRM team is going well, we have a few new members that have made a real difference to the team. The forum has been really busy which is very nice, even humor in there which is even better. Starting to get a little bored with the Kingdom of Loathing game, sort of run out of things to do adventure wise it is all just the same old thing each day. The chat can be fun but quite difficult to follow due to bad lag most of the time. I will stick it out for a few more weeks, but if nothing new is really going to happen or be added I will either drop the game or just play once a week or something. Had snow the past couple of days, real cold so indoors is the place to be. Looking forward to next month and my operation, also coming up is the GP season, and the release of the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy Movie soon.

LONDON (Reuters) - The postal service will be fully opened to competition from January 1, 2006, ending the Royal Mail's 350-year-old monopoly 15 months earlier than planned, industry regulator Postcomm says.

"After three months of consultation, a substantial majority gave the thumbs-up to competition. We can now look forward to a more innovative and efficient postal industry focused on providing customers with the services they want, rather than being told by a monopolist what services they can -- and cannot -- have," Postcomm Chairman Nigel Stapleton said in a statement on Friday.

The decision means that from 2006 licensed companies other than Royal Mail will be able to set up collection boxes, collect, transport and deliver any mail, from single letters to bulk mailings.

So far, competition has been restricted to 30 percent by value of the letters market and to companies handling bulk mail in batches of 4,000 letters or more.

This was introduced in January 2003 and licences have been granted to firms which include Europe's biggest postal server, Deutsche Post, and business-to-business mail company DX Services.

Full competition was proposed in 2002, at a time when Royal Mail -- then called Consignia -- was losing 1 million pounds a day and struggling to introduce a 3-year renewal plan.

Since then it has returned to profit and continues to dominate UK licensed letters delivery, with a 99 percent share of a market worth about 4.5 billion pounds a year, Postcomm said.

In the liberalised market, Royal Mail will still be required to provide a universal postal service for first- and second-class mail of one delivery and one collection each working day at a uniform price throughout Britain, and also provide a business mail service on universal service terms, the regulator added.

Love-hungry singles who look for romance online have an almost guaranteed chance of pairing up, says new research.Once they established a "significant" relationship through emailing and met, there was a 94% chance they would have a second date.On average the relationship lasted seven months, with almost one fifth making it past a year.

Men who used online dating services tended to be more committed to relationships, a major reason for success highlighted by the University of Bath.

Dr Jeff Gavin, who carried out the survey of 229 people, said: "It seems that these relationships have a similar level of success as ones formed in more conventional ways."

He went on: "Men open themselves up more when chat is anonymous.

"Rather than lying to each other, this means couples can form deep relationships by being more honest than they would be face-to-face."

The researchers found that women tended to be more sexual online than they would normally as the anonymity prevented them from being judged.

Although there may be still a stigma attached to online dating for older generations, for younger people it is just the same as meeting in a bar.

Some couples who have met online even spend their anniversaries chatting with their partners in cyberspace as the place they met "is special to them".

Cannabis-munching cows to get change of diet in Alpine state

VADUZ (AFP) - Farmers in Liechtenstein will no longer be allowed to feed cannabis to their livestock under new rules to be introduced in March in the tiny Alpine state.

Hemp -- of which the marijuana plant is a well-known variety -- contains small amounts of THC, the active substance in hashish, and traces of the drug have been filtering through to the milk of dairy cows fed with the plant.

The levels breach the maximum limit set by the new rules, which say that animal feed must be free of any component that could have an adverse effect on humans, the country's veterinary and food controls office said in a statement.

Hemp will also be banned from the diets of meat herds, although there is no clear evidence that THC can filter through into meat.

The rules intend to bring Liechtenstein, a tiny nation of 33,000 inhabitants, in line with food standards in neighbouring Switzerland, with which it forms a customs union.

So what has been going on then, well I have just put up the fence out back again after it blew down the other week. Going to start sorting the garden for this years veg slowly.
YRM has started another season, taking it easy this season, and just racing 3 cars. Only 32 days left until the first grand prix.
I am still off work with my hernia, and still waiting for an operation date from the hospital. Been reading Douglas Adams "last chance to see", almost finished it now, a most entertaining read. Done a little water colour painting, more practice needed.
Had to buy a new monitor, what a difference, seems the old one was worse than I thought, everything is so clear now. I will try and get back into the habit of posting on here more often again. Keep happy!

Stephen Fry is to join the cast of the big-screen adaptation of Douglas Adams' cult novel "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".
On hearing that he had been chosen as the voice of The Guide, the electronic book that guides Arthur Dent on his galactic travels, Fry said that it was "like having your birthday on Christmas Day, discovering a winning lottery ticket in your stocking and having chocolate poured all over you".
Executive Producer Robbie Stamp said he had chosen Fry for the role partly because he knew that Adams, who died in 2001, was a friend of them both and "would have been delighted with the choice".
"His humour and intelligence are perfect for the voice of The Guide," Stamp said.
Adams wrote the screenplay based on the book before his death.

Martin Freeman of "The Office" will play hero Arthur Dent, who goes on an unplanned intergalactic tour when Earth is destroyed to make way for an interstellar bypass.

Other cast members include Bill Nighy, Alan Rickman and John Malkovich, who is taking a new role created by Adams especially for the film.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy opens on May 6.

Just got in from doing a little shopping for Xmas/Christmas/Winterfest/Holidays what ever you want to call it. Got two gifts, one a radio controlled hovercraft which I am going to test shortly, just to check it is OK of course. Stopped for a coffee and had a natter in a cafe in town. The rain stopped just as I went out, that was cool, even a little sunshine made it through the clouds. Almost time to start sorting food out now, be back soon.

Off to the Doctors again soon, about the hernia. It is getting worse, but at least I am not putting any more stress than I have to on it. I expect it will be another sick note and more time off work. Christmas has entered the house in the shape of a tree and a few decorations, put up by Cesca and here boyfriend Chris. Been reading a little more and have started using the local public library. Still drawing, started the falcon picture, and have planned the next picture already another F1 one. I framed a Mika Hakkinen one I did for Jane, I,m pleased with how it looks. Noticed last night that I had missed a bit on it so will have to take it down to finish it.
OK that's all for now, will try to start putting stuff in here every day again.

LONDON (Reuters) - Tony Blair will spell out his legislative plans this week for the next session of parliament -- tantamount to an election manifesto, with the prime minister expected to go to the polls in May next year.

Bills to introduce identification cards and set up a domestic version of the FBI, the Serious and Organised Crime Agency, will grab the headlines along with new powers against drug barons.

Home Secretary David Blunkett said on Sunday he would consider more anti-terrorism laws -- including courts without juries and powers to target people merely suspected of "acts preparatory to terrorism" -- but not until after the election.

Court with no juries and all you need is to be suspected. It seems things are going down hill fast.

Cool link in the title today not sure how to describe the site but it was different.
Went into town today, then went and met some nice people and had a couple of coffee's. Then back home and more massage practise, feeling more confident with the strokes now, just need to learn a few more for next time. I bought a new digital camera, only a small pocket one Low res, but great for pics to go in here. So expect a few more pictures to pop up now. Moon has put a few pics of the cat in Her blog, the link is on the right of the page MoonBlog. Started reading a new book MYSQL for dummies. Lost for waht else to type now, good time for refreshments I think, coffee anyone?

Honda purchase 45 percent stake in BAR

Honda now own 45% of BAR, Dave Richards is out and Nick Fry takes over as Chief Executive of the formula-1 team. Dave Richards is reported to have said,

"We were brought in by British American Tobacco to turn the team around and
secure its long- term future and that is what we have done. I am immensely proud
of what Prodrive has achieved in a shorter time than anticipated. I believe that
BAR Honda is now in a very healthy position to continue its pursuit of the World
Championship. Obviously I and all at Prodrive will take a strong interest in the
fortunes of the team in the future."

LONDON (Reuters) - Children's nursery rhymes contain 10 times more violence than television shows broadcast before the 9 p.m. "watershed" after which more adult content can be shown, research has said.

"You would hear about 10 times more violence if you listened to an hour of nursery rhymes than if you watched television for an hour before 9 o'clock on an average day," said Dr Adam Fox of St Mary's Hospital in London.

A giant fake ID card bearing the Home Secretary's face has been set alight by protesters opposed to the Government's compulsory identity card plans. Campaign group NO2ID burned the mock-up outside a London venue where David Blunkett was due to outline further details of his scheme.NO2ID organiser Mark Littlewood said: "It's extremely important that the Home Secretary understands that if he proceeds with this absurd plan there's going to be very substantial public resistance.

"It's not hysterical to be talking about an Orwellian society and a total surveillance state.

"We are all extremely concerned that the Government is establishing an enormous database on all 60 million of us which will link together a vast amount of information on us.

"I don't mind the police knowing about my crime sheet and my doctor knowing about my health records, but I certainly don't want the police knowing my medical records and my doctor knowing my crime records."

As Mr Blunkett arrived at the conference on ID cards, the protesters shouted "resign. And show us your ID".

Mr Blunkett turned and gave an exaggerated wave to the small group as he entered the building.

His proposals will cost up to £3.1 billion to introduce.

The cards, which feature biometric details such as fingerprints and iris scans, will be phased in from 2007-8 as people apply to renew their passports.

Toyota to supply Jordan engines in 2005

Jordan Grand Prix has concluded an agreement with Toyota Motorsport GmbH for the supply of engines in the 2005 Formula One World Championship season.

Eddie Jordan said, "Toyota are to be commended. Not only have they been fantastic to Jordan by agreeing this deal at such short notice, but they have also done the magnanimous thing for the sport by putting Formula One above their own exclusivity. A supply of Toyota engines is an enormous boost for Jordan and I am very excited about putting together our 2005 package in the coming weeks and months. This announcement, along with others coming shortly, will revive the fortunes of Jordan Grand Prix and at the same time I hope we can help Toyota in the battle for World Championship honours."

The one-year deal enables Jordan to purchase 2005 specification Toyota RVX-05 engines at an affordable price.

Great news for myself as a Jordan GP fan, also in formula one news this week it appears Redbull have bought the Jaguar F1 team this is good news not only for the sport but, more so for the people working at Jaguar F1. Redbull sponser Sauber at the moment I expect this will mean a loss of money for Sauber from Redbull.

I now live in a small town called Kidderminster. Rowland Hill was born in Kidderminster in 1775, he was the founder of the penny post in 1840. Being an ex-Postman I found it interesting and, while out walking around the town spotted this on an old empty building that looks like it was used as a post office at some time in the past.

CHELSEA CRUISE

Just sat here not really doing much, and decide to search on google for the Chelsea cruise, a car run which I used to go to every month with my Mum from the age of 13/14. It is a custom car run in and around Chelsea in London. Had some great fun up there, still have a few old photo's around of the last time I went, I must have been about 16 by then. There used to be hundreds of cars both classic and customised to see driving around. My mum was a MkII zodiac fan her's was white and pale blue. Anyway found this thread (link is in the title above) about it seems a few people are starting it back up. The Conservative Party has sacked its vice chairman and maverick shadow arts minister Boris Johnson from its front bench amid newspapers allegations about his private life.
Newspapers have reported that Boris who is a married father of four, had an affair with a colleague. He has denied the reports, dismissing them as "piffle".
The Conservative Party said its decision to sack Boris was not based on a moral judgment of his behaviour, but on its belief that, in denying the reports, he lied.

I suppose with looks like his it must have been too hard just turning down the offers. I have not seen it mentioned yet if it was a female or male colleague.

Why do we need a fast pace of life? I much prefer a slow pace myself for many reasons, the main one being how much you miss by rushing around. Is it a planned pace by the elite few who control most things. Get every one to rush all the time and they will hardly notice what is going on in the world. I think the whole human race needs to take a more global attitude, forget about all this we are different from them rubbish, fed to us by the media and governments. We are all the same, we are human beings one and all. Imagine a world full of people all working for the common good of not only each other but also for the well being of our planet too. This planet is our home, would you treat your house the way we treat this planet? Much of the damage we are doing is due to this pace of life, always wanting more and faster. There are limited resources in the earth, yet we waste so much just to live our fast paced disposable little lives. Money is said to be the root of all evil, but money is just a man made device for trade; man invented money so really it should say man is the root of all evil. If we wanted we could change the way the world works in a day, just by refusing to use money, we don't need it! What if you just went to work because you wanted to contribute to the well being of are race, and not for pay. If you needed something you go to a shop and get it no charge. Take away all the profits and targets and just do things that need to be done, every one doing a fair share of work for the common good.
I will have to add to this later as I have a doctors appointment at 11:20, so need to go get ready now keep happy.

I,m full after a fantastic sunday roast dinner cooked by my love. More than made up for eating so little yesterday, we even managed the shopping too. Just uploaded a photo I messed around with on to the site, click the title to go direct to the site page it was taken in Brintons park just down the road. Think I may go watch a movie.
